Brown Bottling Group/Pepsi‐Cola announces that it has been recognized by Beverage World publication as the 2008 Beverage World Bottler of the Year. The Mississippi based, family owned company was chosen from a prestigious list of beverage providers. These providers account for more than $700 billion of the global beverage marketplace.
Beverage World selects the Bottler of the Year based on strict criteria, including operational excellence, growth trajectory, service to the community, industry leadership and ability to evolve with changing times.

This is the second time for Brown Bottling Group to receive a Bottler of the Year award. Pepsi‐Cola North America recognized Brown in 2006 as the Donald M. Kendall Bottler of the Year. Brown Bottling Group has also been recognized by other organizations in recent months, most notably the Supplier of the Year from Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association.

Brown Bottling Group/Pepsi‐Cola employs over 430 team members. Sales Centers are located in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Meridian, McComb and Natchez. The team is led by Bill Brown, whose father founded the company in 1971.
